A naked man was arrested after police say he entered a Santa Barbara home over the weekend and barricaded himself inside, according to police.
Santa Barbara police say a resident on Shoreline Drive called 911 shortly before 2:15 p.m. Saturday to report a nude man was in her backyard and had caused “significant property damage.”
Police say the man took off when confronted by the resident but a short time later, another person on San Nicolas Avenue called 911 and said a nude man had come into his home and was barricaded inside the bathroom.
The man reportedly waited outside with his child until police arrived.
A K-9 had to be used to assist with the arrest, police said.
The suspect faces charges of felony vandalism, trespassing, resisting arrests, and public intoxication for drugs.
Following his arrest, he was reportedly transferred to a local hospital for treatment.
Police are not releasing the man’s name or age at this time.
