The Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors has accepted the California Coastal Commission’s changes to its cannabis ordinances.

The modifications were mostly wording changes but also included a ban on outdoor cannabis cultivation within two miles of urban areas, as well as measures intended to protect local agriculture.

Monday’s action means the county’s coastal zone ordinances can go into effect and start being enforced.
