Dozens of volunteers came together in Lompoc this weekend to help make a difference.

City officials estimate about 70 people worked at Lompoc City Hall, the River Park Bike Park, the V Street Channel, the Community Garden and the Brice Fabing and R.J. Davis memorial benches Saturday.

It was all part of Make A Difference Day, where community members work on improvement projects around town as part of the nation’s largest day of community service.

The event was sponsored by the City of Lompoc Parks Division.
