The City of Santa Maria hosts blood drive

The City of Santa Maria is inviting the community to participate in their blood drive on Tuesday, Oct. 30.

More than 20 city employees have already registered to participate.

There will be a blood drive bus parked in the parking lot across from the public library on South McClelland Street.

The blood drive begins at noon and lasts until 4 p.m.

Health officials say, in order to participate, you need to be in good health, be 17 years or older and way more than 110 pounds.

All blood collected stays locally.
