Two little girls in Orcutt did their part in helping local veterans on Sunday.
They ran a lemonade stand for the Wounded Warrior Project and they didn’t raise just a small amount.
MacKenzie and Taylor Byrne have ran the lemonade stand on Veterans Day for three years now.
They built the stand themselves and operate it throughout the day. In the first year, they raised $1,000. Last year, they doubled that.
“I enjoy when we raise all of the money and we get to be able to give it to the wounded warriors and stuff. And I think that’s really fun to do and stuff,” they said.
No word yet on the final tally, but people came out in support like years past.
