The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County is asking the community to help raise money to replace a truck damaged in an accident in October.

The total cost of replacing all damaged equipment from the accident is $145,000, and the Foodbank must lease a new truck to transport donations for three months.

An anonymous donor has pledged $50,000 if the Foodbank can raise a matching donation of the same amount. Some donors have already given $4,000 toward the replacement costs.

Aera Energy, LLC has also offered to fund a full-service lease payment for the months of November and December of 2018, and January of 2019.
