Firefighters extinguished a house fire in Arroyo Grande on Friday and rescued two dogs that were inside.
The fire broke out at around noon.
When firefighters arrived, they say neighbors were using a garden house to try to put out the flames.
Authorities say the residents were not home at the time of the fire, and their two dogs got out safely.
The damage was reportedly confined to the back of the home, although a neighboring house sustained minor exterior damage.

According to the Five Cities Fire Authority, one firefighter suffered a minor injury.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
