A wanted parolee was one of two people arrested after drugs, a loaded gun and stolen laptop were found in their vehicle during a traffic stop in Atascadero, according to police.

Atascadero police say officers stopped the vehicle Friday evening on the 3200 block of El Camino Real for a mechanical violation.

The car was searched after police say the driver gave them a false name.

Police say the search turned up more than an ounce of methamphetamine, a loaded firearm that had been stolen, a stolen laptop and more than $8,000 in cash.

Larry Conway, 55, and Nancy Brown-Wolf, 64, were arrested.

Officers say Conway was a wanted parolee out of Texas.

Police say the pair face charges related to possession of narcotics for sale, possession of narcotics while armed, possession of stolen property and conspiracy.
