3 men arrested in connection with Paso Robles bank robbery

Paso Robles police have arrested three people in connection with an armed robbery Tuesday evening at the Chase bank on Niblick Road.

The robbery happened at about 6 p.m. as the bank was closing. Police say several men entered the bank with guns and demanded money. One of the robbers hit a bank employee in the eye with a rifle.

Following the robbery, police say the California Highway Patrol spotted a vehicle matching the description of the robbers’ getaway vehicle speeding northbound on Highway 101 at more than 100 miles per hour. Officers reportedly stopped the vehicle and determined that the three men inside matched the description of the robbers.

Edward Ivan Ochoa, 30, Jose Christian Ramirez, 29, and Luis Rios Rico, 21, were taken into custody and booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping with intent to commit robbery, conspiracy, providing false information to a police officer, and a parole hold.
