Some iPads stolen from Miller Elementary School in Santa Maria earlier this month have been located, officials say.

City officials in Santa Maria say city park rangers on patrol at Perlman Park Friday noticed a woman in the bushes.

She reportedly showed them five iPads and said she heard they may have been stolen but she planned to sell them.

The woman was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant and for being in possession of stolen property, officials say.

City officials say they believe the woman found the electronic devices and did not steal them from Classroom 23 during the Nov. 18 burglary at the school.

In all, the Santa Maria-Bonita School District says more than 25 iPads were stolen from the school that night.

The iPads were booked into evidence but can be returned to the district, officials say.
