SBCSO officials say at around 6 p.m. on Sunday, two hikers in the Santa Ynez riverbed reported shots were fired near them, and possibly at them.

Deputies searched the area, at around 9:30 p.m. they discovered suspicious circumstances outside of a two-story structure in the riverbed. During their search of the premises, deputies found a vehicle with bullet holes and a trail of blood near it.
