The annual “CHiPs for Kids” toy drive has proved to be successful, as the program is donating hundreds of toys to children in the Santa Barbara area.
The Santa Barbara Area CHP collected 435 toys to give out to disadvantaged children and their families.
“It’s wonderful to see, even in these trying times, people helping people,” said Public Information Officer Jonathan Gutierrez. “The community heard about the CHiPS for Kids toy drive and graciously donated toys for those who truly needed them. Acts of kindness like this bring about the true meaning of the holiday spirit.”
CHP says they will work with the Unity Shoppe to distribute the toys.
