State Parks are going ahead with their scheduled pile burns after postponing the procedure on Wednesday.
Officials plan to burn approximately 25 piles in Morro Bay State Park on Thursday, December 13, and Friday, December 14.
The brush piles are located at the intersections of Quintana Rd. and La Loma St. and Lower and Upper State Park Roads.
If weather conditions permit, burning will take place from around 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
Parks officials say the goal of the burns is to eliminate dead tree debris and manage vegetation to reduce the risk of wildfire danger.
