Inmate reported missing from Lompoc prison camp

The United States Marshals Service is investigating the disappearance of an inmate from the Satellite Prison Camp at the U.S. Penitentiary in Lompoc.

Officials say Armando Penunuri, 32, apparently walked away from the minimum security facility and was discovered missing at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14.

Penunuri was sentenced to 120 months for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribution of oxycodone, methamphetamine, and marijuana. He was convicted in Tennessee.

Penunuri is described as 5’10” tall and 195 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
