Santa Maria Police responded to reports of a robbery Sunday night.
Police say when they arrived 37-year-old Demetrius Johnson was fleeing the scene on the 100 block of N. Benwiley Road.
With help of the police K-9, Johnson was taken into custody.
Officials say the victim of the robbery sustained an injury and was taken to Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Johnson is booked in the Santa Barbara County Jail on multiple charges.
