The California Highway Patrol has identified the woman killed in a fiery crash last week on Highway 166 as Heather Sevier, 41, of Bakersfield.

Officers say she was heading eastbound on the highway in the early-morning hours of Dec. 12 when, for unknown reasons, she drifted into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into an oil tanker causing the pickup to burst into flames.

The impact caused the semi to go off the road and roll onto its side. The driver was not injured.

Sevier was pronounced dead at the scene.
