Scotty’s BBQ in Atascadero was vandalized early Wednesday morning.
Chrissy Herd owns the restaurant with her two sons and says she woke up to a call from police saying someone had vandalized her restaurant.
Herd says when she arrived the entire front window was knocked in. She says nothing was stolen, but the window will cost thousands to replace.
Herd and the family say they are thankful for the community’s support, “On our website and Facebook page, we’ve had over 5,000 people contact us saying we’re there for you and we actually had a couple of people say they will donate money if our insurance doesn’t cover from the window.”
The restaurant will remain open during its normal hours.
They hope to have the window replaced by the end of January.
