A suspected methamphetamine dealer was arrested this week in Santa Maria.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office says its Special Investigations Bureau, a K9 and personnel from Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives worked together to conduct a search warrant Tuesday at a home along the 700 block of West Harding Avenue.
There, officials say more than one kilo of suspected methamphetamine packaged in quarter-pound bundles was seized.
Detectives also reportedly found items consistent with drug trafficking and seized a previously reported stolen handgun and stolen vehicle, according to a press release.
Julio Cesar Aguilar-Lopez, 38, of Santa Maria was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine for the purpose of sales, possessing a stolen firearm and stolen vehicle, officials say.
He was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail with bail set at $300,000.
