Students in Templeton had a fundraiser for two families impacted by the Camp Fire in Northern California Friday afternoon.

The kids had a bake sale filled with sweet treats and hot chocolate.

The students planned the fundraiser for two distinct families that lost everything.

“(One of them) is a single mother, two high school boys, she’s a nurse and they lost everything,” Jenny Barton, a parent of one of the kids, said. “Another family, he’s a college professor at Butte College and we have some local Templeton kids that are going to college up there.”

The fundraiser raised $3,000 as of 3 p.m. Friday.

This includes gift cards and cash donations.
