Morro Bay police were dispatched to Check into Cash Saturday morning when someone activated a panic button during an armed robbery. The incident occurred at 1065 Kennedy Way around 11:40 a.m.
Witnesses told police a Hispanic man brandished a handgun before leaving with an undisclosed amount of money.
Witnesses recall seeing a small silver sedan with tinted windows speed away from the scene, but it’s unclear whether the suspect ran away or jumped into a car.
