Children enjoy Noon Year’s Eve celebrations in SLO, Santa Maria

Children on the Central Coast are getting in on the New Year’s Eve fun a little early.

The Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum is hosting its annual Noon Year’s Eve celebration Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Admission is $6 per person and includes 2019 capsule making and other art, cookies and cider, the countdown to noon and more.

The discovery museum is located 705 S. McClelland St. in Santa Maria.

In San Luis Obispo, children can ring in the New Year at the San Luis Obispo Children’s Museum.

The museum will be holding its 11th annual Noon Year’s Eve Celebration with a countdown and balloon drop at noon.

Children can also make crowns and shake noisemakers while also enjoying an apple juice toast.

The San Luis Obispo Children’s Museum is located at 1010 Nipomo St.
