Update: Power fully restored to Grover Beach residents

(Update – 3:15 a.m.) PG&E has fully restored power to Grover Beach and Pismo Beach residents.

Power was fully restored around 3 a.m. Monday morning.

The cause of the outage is under investigation.


(Update – 2:30 a.m.) The power outage in Grover Beach rises to 1,883 customers overnight.

The power outage originally impacted over 6,500 customers from Arroyo Grande to Pismo Beach Sunday night.

PG&E was able to restore power to most customers at around 9 p.m., saying full restoration was expected by 1 a.m.

At approximately 2 a.m. the power outage grew to over 1,800 customers from Grover Beach to Pismo Beach.

PG&E crews are investigating the cause of the outage.

The power utility company said power isn’t expected to be restored until 5:30 a.m., Monday.


(Update – 9:40 p.m.) The power outage is now affecting 773 customers, according to PG&E.

The company estimates power will be restored around 1 a.m. Monday.


(Original story) About 6,561 Pacific Gas and Electric Company customers from Arroyo Grande to Pismo Beach are out of power Sunday night.

According to the PG&E website, the power went out at about 5:47 p.m.

PG&E crews are investigating the cause of the outage.

The power utility company said power isn’t expected to be restored until 9 p.m.
