The first baby of 2019 in San Luis Obispo County was born shortly after the start of the New Year.
Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center says the baby came into the world at 1:14 a.m. The mother declined to have additional details about the birth released.
A short time later, a baby boy was born at Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton.
Hospital officials say parents Katherine and James welcomed Micah James at 1:30 a.m. He weighed 8 lbs., 5 oz. and was 20 inches long.
