Caltrans announced the closure of Highway 1 south of Big Sur Sunday night.
Crews will assess the situation on Monday morning, according to a Caltrans tweet.
“Big Sur is closing the North end at Fuller’s and Cambria is closing the South end at Ragged Point,” the post stated on the website.
