A local business is holding a fundraiser to help employees at Shaw’s Steakhouse who lost their jobs after a fire.
Vino et Amicis in Orcutt is holding a fundraiser on Wednesday, Jan. 9 to help employees who lost their jobs due to a fire at Shaw’s Steakhouse.
The fire broke out Thursday, Jan. 3 at Sergio’s Furniture in Santa Maria. Shaw’s Steakhouse shares the building with the furniture store where the fire originally started.
Nobody was hurt during the fire, and investigators are still trying to determine the exact cause.
According to the event’s Facebook page, 20% of the sales made on Jan. 9 will be donated to those who lost their job.
Vino et Amicis is located at 165 S. Broadway St. in Orcutt.
