The friend of a Nipomo man who was reported missing after he didn’t return home Monday night says he has been found alive and unhurt in Santa Maria.

Xochi Farias says volunteers who had been searching for Saul Tiznado over the past couple of days received a tip that the 41-year-old may be in the Santa Maria area.

They reportedly responded to the area, located Tiznado’s car, and a short time later, found Tiznado himself.

Tiznado’s girlfriend, Christine Delgado, said she had last heard from him at about 6 p.m. on Monday in a text message saying he was on his way home. She reported him missing Tuesday when he never arrived.

No other details about how Tiznado ended up in Santa Maria were available.

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that it was told by the Santa Maria Police Department that Tiznado was found alive and well.
