The Santa Maria Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing man who is considered to be at-risk.
Daniel Schandel, 65, was last seen at his home in the 500 block of E. Battles Rd. on Jan. 10, 2019.
Schandel suffers from dementia and is believed to be on foot. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved flannel shirt, blue jeans, and is known to wear a black baseball cap with the “Marines” logo on the front.
Schandel is 5’7″ tall and approximately 165 pounds, with gray hair, blue eyes, and a full beard.
He is known to frequent the area around the 200 block of E. Battles Rd. The VFW and the post office are located on that block.
