Sentencing is set to take place Friday morning for the Manse on Marsh owner convicted of involuntary manslaughter.
Christopher Skiff was found guilty in December of involuntary manslaughter and elderly and dependent adult abuse in connection with the death of Manse on Marsh resident Mauricio Edgar Cardenas.
The 65-year-old was hit and killed by a car 10 miles from the facility, located in San Luis Obispo, in December 2014. It’s alleged that Cardenas suffered from dementia and should not have been living at the facility.
KSBY will have a crew at the courthouse and will have an update on the sentencing once it is handed down.
