Chico’s FAS, Inc., which owns the Chico’s, White House Black Market and Soma brands, says it plans to close at least 250 stores in the U.S. over a three-year period.
The clothing company says the goal is “long-term success in a competitive retail environment.”
Locally, there are Chico’s stores in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara. White House Black Market also has a location in San Luis Obispo.
It’s unknown at this time whether any of the Central Coast stores will be affected by the closures.
