Roads are being closed due to flooding and debris from overnight rain.

The County of Santa Barbara said at 8:30 a.m. Saturday Highway 1 was closed between Gaviota and Lompoc due to debris and rock slides.

Water in low-lying areas has closed Highway 135 from Santa Maria to Los Alamos.

It is not known when the roads will re-open.

Flooding was also reported in the Guadalupe area at Highway 1 and Osos Flaco Lake Road and near Buellton along Highway 101 in the Nojoqui Grade area, however, no closures were reported.

In Santa Barbara, water could also be seen rushing down part of Mission and Castillo streets and outside the Santa Barbara Woman’s Club. A flash flood warning was issued for the city Saturday morning.

The California Highway Patrol reminds drivers to slow down, keep their lights on and never drive through standing or fast-moving water.
