Crashes along the Cuesta Grade are likely to cause some slowing in the area Wednesday morning.
The California Highway Patrol reported just after 8:30 a.m. that one of the vehicles, involving multiple vehicles, occurred in the southbound lanes near the Cuesta Summit on the Atascadero side of the grade.
The other occurred around the same time in the northbound lanes at the base of the grade in San Luis Obispo. As many as four vehicles were reported to be involved.
No word on the extent of any injuries.
These are just two of many crashes reported in the northern SLO County area Wednesday morning as icy conditions are affecting local roads.
