A section of Black Road in Santa Maria that was closed last week due to flooding is back open.
The City of Santa Maria announced Monday that all signs and barricades have been removed from the section of road between Black Road Auto and Windset Farms.
The road runs along the western edge of Santa Maria and is a popular north-south route for commuters.
Black Road runs among agricultural land that tends to be flat in many places making it prone to flooding.
