Three bridges along Highway 192 that had to be rebuilt following the debris flows and flooding in Montecito last year are now open to two-way traffic.

Still, Caltrans says drivers should take caution around the San Ysidro Creek, Romero Canyon Creek and Toro Canyon Creek bridges as protective barriers remain until permanent railings are installed.

Construction is still underway on the Montecito Creek, Toro Creek and Arroyo Paredon bridges.

Barricades and locked gates are up at the Montecito Creek and Arroyo Paredon bridges for public safety reasons and detours are available.

Caltrans urges drivers to avoid Highway 192 if possible and instead use Highway 101.
