San Luis Obispo is receiving the national spotlight with the help of C-SPAN.
This week, the Cable-Satellite Public Affairs Network visited the Central Coast and filmed at the historic Jack House and Gardens on Thursday.
The channel is working on a segment recording the history and non-fiction literary life of the city. It is part of the network’s series on American history.
The segments will air on Book TV, American History TV and during a special feature on San Luis Obispo in the first weekend in April. It will give a behind the scenes look of SLO to a national audience.
“I think that’s what we want to be able to do is have people in town be able to share a little part of their history with someone all the way across the country,” said Scott Hummelsheim, C-SPAN producer and video journalist.
The episode will feature several local writers as well. We will keep you updated as the air date gets closer.
