State Trails Day to benefit Montecito Trails

Volunteers needed to help restore trails damaged by the Thomas Fire and Montecito mudslides.

State Trails Day is Saturday, April 6 and crews are using this day to focus on restoring the damaged trails for hikers to enjoy once again.

The restoration work is focusing on areas that were damaged by rain this winter and last winter.

The trails being worked on are Hot Spring Trails and Romero Trail.

All tools will be provided.

Volunteers will need to wear closed-toed shoes and long pants.

The event is on Saturday, April 6 at 8 a.m. Volunteers will meet at Montecito Unified School District offices on San Ysidro Road.
