Caltrans is scheduled to start a repaving project on Highway 1 near Cuesta College Monday.
The project will grind and resurface northbound lanes on Highway 1 from North Education Drive to the San Luis Creek Bridge.
Caltrans said drivers will encounter alternating lane closures Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and overnight from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.
They said there shouldn’t be any major delays.
There will be electronic message boards to let people driving in the area know about the closures.
CalPortland Construction of Santa Maria is the contractor for the $1.1 million project.
Caltrans said the project is expected to be complete in May.
