First responders pulled two people from a car that crashed east of Santa Maria, along Highway 166 near Twitchell Dam Road.
According to a tweet by Santa Maria Fire officials, engines from its department along with Santa Barbara County Fire and Cal Fire responded to the scene.
Firefighters used a rope system to pull the two victims from the vehicle that crashed in an embankment off the highway. The extent of injuries is unclear.
Santa Maria Fire has not yet said when the crash occurred, but a crash was reported in the same area Tuesday afternoon.
