The City of Lompoc Transit (COLT) is offering free bus rides Friday as part of Try Transit Month.
The city says they want the community to experience how convenient and affordable traveling in Lompoc’s new public transportation fleet can be.
COLT started a year ago and travels through Lompoc, Mission Hills and Vandenberg Village. Each bus can seat up to 16 people.
Anyone can use the service from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays.
COLT also offers a special night service to Allan Hancock College’s Lompoc campus.
There's no such thing as a free ride. Except this Friday in #Lompoc. Ride our COLT buses for free! Details at https://t.co/TvFqBoZ3d3. #TryTransitMonth pic.twitter.com/V0H462Yhzn
