Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Paso Robles

The Paso Robles Police Department is investigating a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle Friday afternoon.

It happened just after 1:15 p.m. at the intersection of Spring St. and 21st St.

A 48-year-old woman was reportedly struck by the vehicle as she walked into the crosswalk.

First responders arrived to find the woman lying in the roadway but conscious and able to speak with emergency personnel. She was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

Police say the driver, a 68-year-old woman, stopped and cooperated with officers. She was not injured.

Investigators do not believe alcohol or speeding were factors in the collision.
