The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office has identified the Santa Barbara woman who died after suffering a medical emergency while swimming in the ocean over the weekend as Marcie Kjoller.
Santa Barbara police said emergency crews were called to East Cabrillo Boulevard around 9:50 a.m. Sunday.
When officers arrived, police said bystanders were conducting CPR on the beach. When medics arrived, they were not able to revive Kjoller, 50.
No other information on the incident was immediately available.
