A Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s deputy arrested a 29-year-old man from Lompoc over the weekend after authorities say he was found in possession of several bags of cocaine.
Sheriff’s officials say a deputy spotted Erik Morales just before midnight on March 30, sitting inside a parked vehicle with an open bottle of beer.
According to the sheriff’s office, a search of his vehicle uncovered 18 small plastic bags of cocaine, about one gram each. They were reportedly hidden inside a cowboy boot.
