The Lompoc Public Library system is accepting food donations to help people in need as payment for overdue fines during National Library Week.
The Food for Fines program runs from April 7 to April 13 at the Lompoc Public Library on 501 E. North Ave. and at the Village Library at 3755 Constellation Rd.
Library members will get one dollar waived for every canned or packaged pantry item submitted.
All of the food collected will be donated to the Lompoc Food Pantry.
