Accounting firm Glenn Burdette has been awarded the New Nationwide Diversity Scholarship by the American Institute Certified Public Accountants, for of its training programs, investment in community service and commitment to diversity.
They are one of the five firms selected for the award in the United States.
The new scholarship will give one college student up to $20,000 towards tuition and a full-time internship during the 2020 tax season at Glenn Burdette.
“Besides the significant financial support, an internship at Glenn Burdette is a gateway to experiencing a wide breadth of tax and accounting knowledge while serving a diverse base of clients,” President and Managing Director of Glenn Burdette Dan O’Hare said. “An intern has the opportunity to work with professionals who are helping lead San Luis Obispo County’s future.”
Glenn Burdette’s intern program with Cal Poly students has given an accounting, finance and business majors the “learn by doing” experience for several years.
The company is the largest accounting firm in San Luis Obispo County.
Applications for the internship are due May 31.
