The first flight to Sacramento from the Santa Barbara Airport will take off Tuesday.
Airport officials announced the addition of the daily, non-stop flight on Contour Airlines back in January.
Tuesday’s departing flight will receive a fire department water cannon salute, something that hasn’t been done at the airport in more than seven years due to the drought.
The flight is scheduled to depart at 12:10 p.m.
