Six years after Victor Hugo Sanchez was shot to death in Paso Robles, investigators are still searching for three men wanted for his murder.

Sanchez, 37, was killed outside his Spring Street apartment complex in late February 2013.

Prosecutors say his ex-girlfriend, Maria Fajardo, hired a group of four men to attack Sanchez. She was convicted of second-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon and robbery in connection with his death, but authorities were unable to locate any of the four men – until this past January.

That’s when David Rodriguez Hernandez, 43, was reportedly extradited from Mexico and booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on charges including murder, conspiracy, robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and inflicting great bodily injury. He is currently awaiting trial.

The other three men – Edgar Ontiveros, Louis Henry Madrigal, and Alejandro Benjamin Anguiano – are apparently still on the run, according to the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office. Anyone who has information as to their whereabouts is urged to contact their local law enforcement agency.

Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the three suspects. Tips to Crime Stoppers can be made anonymously by calling (805) 549-STOP or leaving a tip online at slotips.org.

Authorities say the three men have active arrest warrants for murder and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Ontiveros, 24, also goes by the nickname “Huero.” Madrigal, 25, also goes by the nicknames of “Cuates” or “Flaco.” Anguiano, 24, has the nickname of “Burbujas.” All three were reportedly last known to reside in Modesto.
