A project to resurface 24 miles of Highway 58 east of Santa Margarita will resume on Wednesday, May 1.

The project is taking place between Highway 229 and the Navajo Creek Bridge.

Caltrans says drivers will encounter one-way reversing traffic control from Highway 229 to just east of Shooting Star Road, Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Delays are not expected to be more than 15 minutes.

Drivers will also encounter a striping operation in the same area next week.

The $7 million project is expected to be complete this September.
