The world champion Atascadero High School Greybots are taking part in a one-day science camp for kids this weekend.

The robotics team has partnered with Supercharged Science to present a “Science Day Adventure” for kids ages 7-15.

Participants will learn about aeronautics and rocketry, electricity and robots, physics of light, and astronomy and black holes.

The camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, at Pacheco School in San Luis Obispo.

In April, the Greybots were crowned world champions at the FIRST Robotics Championship in Houston, Texas.

The team also hosts a weeklong VEX IQ Summer Robotics Camp. It’s scheduled to take place this year from June 17-21. Registration is $300. Click here for more information.
