Tefft St. at Mesa Road will get an all-way stop sign this week.
The County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works will be installing the sign Thursday.
Currently, there are stop signs on Mesa Rd. at Tefft St. The change will add stop signs on Tefft St. to create a four-way stop.
Tefft St. at Mesa Road experiences high volumes of traffic every day, so the installation of the all-way stop is a tentative measure to improve area traffic operations and safety.
A project to install a traffic sign is getting developed and the sign is scheduled to go up sometime in 2021.
The County Board of Supervisors approved the addition of the all-way stop at their meeting on April 9.
