Police say the shooting happened on Friday, April 26 in the 300 block of W. Maple Ave.

A man, who police say is a documented gang member, was reportedly shot in the upper torso. Police say he went to the hospital on his own and his wound was not life-threatening.

Investigators say they have since identified a 17-year-old boy who is also a gang member as one of the suspects in this case. The teen was arrested on Friday, May 3 on suspicion of attempted murder with a gang enhancement.

Police say their investigation into the shooting is continuing and they ask anyone with information about this case to contact the Lompoc Police Department.
