The Santa Maria Senior Club had their fair share of fun Sunday at their “Hawaiian Style Senior Prom.”
The prom is organized in conjunction with Santa Maria Recreation and Parks.
Promgoers of all ages sported their island attire and graced the dance floor with the local sounds of the Riptide Big Band.
The event included a hula lesson by Yuka Freeman as well as prizes refreshments and lots of dancing!
“Dancing is something that coordinates mind and body and you totally are in the present. I think of it almost as an anti-aging thing,” said dancers Ernie Gamble and Kathleen O’Neill.
The event was also co-sponsored by Orcutt Academy High School.
